She was predeceased by: her parents, James Clifton Harper and DuPont Peeples Harper; her former husband Thomas Thurston Vernon; her sons, Randy (Linda), Steve (Carol) and Alan (Marie); her brother Hayne Harper (Sandy); and her daughter-in-law Carolyn L. Vernon.
She is survived by: her husband Hollis Lee Martin; her siblings, Jim Harper (Cathy) and Joyce H. McMillan; her grandchildren, Travis, Evan, Laura, Lindsey Werrick (Tyler), Justin, Jamie, Jessica and Sarah; and her great grandchildren, Abby and Charlotte.
