He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Tidwell and Maitland Martin Tidwell; and his brother Kenneth R. Tidwell. He is survived by: his children, Ted Martin Tidwell, Jr. and Tracie Tidwell Amrhein (Ken); his grandchildren, Heather Tidwell Denittis (Dave), Ben Barton and Mattie Barton; and his great grandchild George Denittis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Augusta Dream Center or Stevens Creek Church in Augusta GA.
