With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Thomas Langdon Atkins Sr. (Augusta, Georgia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Thomas left this world on September 25, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Emmitt Atkins and Rhoda Eugenia Avret Atkins; and his siblings, Joseph E. Atkins, Jr. and Mary Atkins Harris (Marieta B. Hobbs). He is survived by: his siblings, Nancy Carolyn Holman Brown, James Atkins and Allen Atkins; his children, Thomas Langdon Atkins, Jr., Stacy Atkins (Leslie), Jason Atkins (Tammy) and Jonathan Atkins (Amy); and his stepchildren, Tommy Lee, Jenny Odom and Zachary Badger. He is also survived by his twenty-eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors (2502 Richmond Hill Rd, Augusta, GA 30906). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, Thomas would appreciate any donations in his memory be made to the Hephzibah Agricultural Club or to Berlin Methodist Church.
