It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Corwin Herndon III (Augusta, Georgia), who passed away on August 15, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ruth Herndon; his parents, Grover Cleveland and Minerva McCraw Herndon; his caregivers, Barbara Turner, Bea Boles, Lynn Thigpen and Yvonne Thomas; his children, Melinda Jones of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Cory Herndon of Decatur, Georgia, Mark Herndon (Sue) of Tampa, Tim Herndon (Debbie) of West Lebanon and Amy Herndon of Augusta; and his sister Thetus Smith of McMinnville.
