He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Ruth Odom Pond; and his brother Henry Pond. He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Hogue (Lyle), Arvin Pond Jr. (April) and Michael Pond (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Rebekah Hogue (Michael), Rachel Hogue (Nathan), Grace Hogue, Faith Hogue, Mason Pond, Claire Pond, Riley Pond, Drew Pond, Alex Pond and Grayson Pond; his great grandchild Palmer Gamlin; his siblings, Pat Laird, Carol Genova and Danny Pond; and his niece Tammy Odom. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
