She is survived by: her partner Terry Williams; her children, Michael Simpson Jr. of Cairo, GA, Montrel Simpson of Lawrenceville, GA and Reco Simpson of Barnwell, SC.; her brothers, Aubrey Thomas of Atlanta, GA, Erick Thomas of Atlanta, GA and Marion Thomas of Augusta, GA; her stepbrother Sammy Sims of Augusta, GA; and her sisters-in-law, Deborah Gordon of Augusta, GA and Frances Thomas of Augusta, GA. She is also survived by her two grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the C. A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home (314 Laney Walker Blvd A, Augusta, GA 30901). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
