She was predeceased by: her husband Jacob L. Goodwin; her parents, Lillie Young Barden and Grover Cleveland Barden; her son Kenneth Goodwin; and her sister Margaret Frost.

She is survived by: her children, Faron V. Goodwin and Bonnie G. Slaughter (Robert); her granddaughter Ashley N. Mosley (Johnathan); and her siblings, Talmadge Barden and Katherine Inman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
