He was predeceased by: his siblings, Dennis, Marvin, Timothy and Ellen Dean. He is survived by: his wife Janie Patricia Dean; his son James Dean (Stephanie); his granddaughter Allie Dean; and his siblings, Donna Ashberry, Charlotte Roberts, Sherry Horn, Debbie Murray and Melvin Dean.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pine View Baptist Church (119 Pleasant Home Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Dukes Cemetery.
