He was predeceased by: his wife Maggie Eunice Percival Swint; his parents, Ima Peebles Swint and James Milton (Nellie Swint); his daughter Janet McNeely; his grandson Brandon Swint; his daughter-in-law Bonnie Swint; and his siblings, Thomas Swint, Jim Swint, Robert Murphy, Edna Thigpen, Eloise Pendrey and Mildred Deeson.

He is survived by: his children, William Larry Swint, Ken Swint, Angela Arrington (Mike) and Annette Swint (Kelly); and his grandchildren, Joe Chavous (Bonnie), Jenny Bowen (Thomas), Steven Arrington (Alexis), Stacey Arrington, Tyler Arrington (Kristal), Beth McPherson (Chad), Mark Dillman, Rose Hartley, Jackie Chavous and Jessica Chavous.
