He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Holmes and Bessie Holmes (LaVerne Dorman Holmes); and his brother Arthur Holmes. He is survived by: his son Lynwood Holmes; his siblings, John T. Holmes, Eddie J. Holmes (Mary), Rev. Clarence Grier (Sarah) and Loretta H. Fountain; and his siblings' children, Pamela Yancey (Donald), Priscilla Holmes, Chandrion Holmes, Keisha Cobb (Grant), Nicole Dockery, Phaedra Bing, Kimberly Fountain, Francine Dunn (Floyd), Eddie Holmes, Jr. and Clarence Grier Jr.. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home (2945 Old Tobacco Rd, Hephzibah, GA 30815). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Baptist Church (1714 Olive Rd, Augusta, GA 30906).
