With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Willis F. Roberson Jr. in Augusta, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 13, 2026 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Roberson and Annie Lou Roberson; his siblings, Jerry Roberson and Patrica Valley; and his granddaughter Emily Roberson.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Roberson; his children, Lynn Roberson Brantley, Willis "Robbie" Roberson III (Tracy), Cliff Roberson (Paula) and Susan Roberson Spratling (John); his grandchildren, David Willis Brantley (Jenny), Clifford Scott Brantley (Melissa), Chadwick Turner Brantley (Lucy), Daniel Ashton Brantley (Alexis), Kaitlin Cameron Avant (Austin), Parker Kelly Moore (Wynn), Lauren Taylor Roberson, Tyler Patrick Roberson (Hannah), Caroline Roberson Ticknor (Tanner), Samuel Clifford Roberson, Willis Turner Spratling (Abby), Mason Wesley Spratling (Caroline), Ivy Spratling Carter (Scout) and Liza Dell Spratling; his sister-in-law Hilda Jean Kohn; and his son-in-law David Brantley.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors (214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA 30907). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
