She was predeceased by: her husband Lamar Hester; her parents, Leon Smith and Cora Smith; and her siblings, James Smith, Clayton Smith and Hazel Atcheson.
She is survived by: her son Kenny; her daughter-in-law Donna Hester of Powder Springs; her son Robbin; her daughter-in-law Laura Hester of Powder Springs; her grandchildren, Zachary, Mallori Hester of Acworth, Maegan, Chad Tucker of Powder Springs and Kerri Wallace of Marietta; her great grandchildren, Jaxson Hester, Ella Mae Hester and Morgan Vanantwerp; her brother Calvin; her sister-in-law Polly Smith of Dallas; her sisters, Bonnie Shead of Dallas, Geraldine Witcher of Dallas, Patricia "Tricia" Rutledge of Snellville and Sandra; and her brother-in-law Jim Baird of Dallas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
