With sadness, we share the passing of David Hawkes of Austell, Georgia. David, born on June 16, 1948, passed away on September 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Buford Sr. and Gladys Hawkes. He is survived by: his wife Melba Lester Hawkes; his daughters, Kristi Bonilla (Felix Bonilla) and Lisa Keith (Charles Keith); his grandchildren, Sydney Watts (Kameron Watts), William Johnson, Logan Shelton, Jaxson Bonilla, Saylor Keith and Brantley Keith; his great grandchildren, Jett Watts and Emersyn Watts; and his siblings, Betty DuVall, Sherman Hawkes (Carolyn), Effie Jones (Clifford), Thomas Hawkes (Mary) and Billy Ray. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at 963 GA-98, Danielsville, GA 30633. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
