She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie L. Newman and Col. Mancel L. Newman; her husband Major Robert S. Friant; and her daughter Jeanne Michele Friant. She is survived by: her daughter Annette M. Friant.
She served on the Northwest Cobb Hospital Health Foundation and was a member of the Austell First United Methodist Church where she was on several boards and committees.
