It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Eldred Baxter of Austell, Georgia, born in Carrollton, Georgia, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William Arthur Baxter and Odareene Gray Baxter; and his spouse Chloie Mary Smith. He is survived by : his daughter Susan Baxter Nicholson (John); his grandchildren, Patrick Kelley (Virginia) and Kimberly Underwood (Phillip); and his great grandchildren, Katie and Emily Underwood.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Davis-Struempf Funeral Home (1975 East-West Connector, Austell, GA 30106). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Austell First United Methodist Church (5705 Mulberry St, Austell, GA 30106).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lions Club International in Bud's name.
