He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Jones Sr. and Verdye Hill Jones; his wife Liz Jones; and his siblings, Jimmy Jones, Betty Ann Wiley and Jeannie Woody.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen "Beth" Jones Palmer (Alan); his grandchildren, Tabitha Nickelson (Chris), Russell Palmer (Taylor) and Elana Palmer; and his great grandchildren, Christopher Nickelson, Destiny Nickelson, Jamie Nickelson and Sara Nickelson. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sweetwater Baptist Church Meal Ministry in Joe's honor.
