He is survived by: his wife Christine Canup Allen; his children, Mary Ann Allen, Amanda Lewis-Powell and Daniel Allen; his stepchildren, Paul Howard and Tracy Howard; and his sister Arlene Reece (Frances O'Sheilds). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and one great grandson.
