He was predeceased by: his parents, Blanche Capps Johnston and John Mimms Johnston, Sr. (Jacqueline P. Johnston); his brother John Mimms Johnston, Jr.; and his granddaughter Brooke Elizabeth Hendley. He is survived by: his daughters, Vickie Gordon of Austell, Kathy Hendley (Brett) of Macon and Nancy Little (Jay) of Alpharetta; and his grandchildren, Scott Thomas Gordon and Blake Robert Hendley. He is also survived by several stepchildren and step grandchildren and 3 nieces.
