He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie Martin Manning Davis; his parents, Emma Manning Davis and Joe Thomas Davis; and his siblings, Reba D. Peoples, Broadus Davis, Mary D. McGahee, Dorothy Davis, Beulah D. Lamb, Bennet Davis and Peggy D. Williams.

He is survived by: his sons, Bryan Davis and Buford Manning (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Jiles Manning (Serena), Justin Manning (Justine), Jeff Davis and Montana Davis; his great grandchildren, Sumner Manning and Lainey Manning; and his sister JoDean Davis.
