He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Franklin Tanner and Julia Lucille Tanner. He is survived by: his daughters, Madelyn Tanner of Axson, GA and Jessa Tanner; his stepsister Laurie Ely (Carlos) of Douglas, GA; and his niece Becky Temple.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sims Funeral Home (201 N Peterson Ave, Douglas, GA 31533). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Stokesville Baptist Church (3086 Stokesville Church Rd, Axson, GA 31624).
In Lieu of flowers the family requests all donations be to CRMC Cancer infusion Center, Childhood Cancer awareness Group, of Coffee County, and the Passionately Pink Cancer group of Coffee County.
