We announce the death of Eugene Smith of Bainbridge, Georgia, who passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 65. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Smith and Pauline Spooner Smith. He is survived by: his sisters, Marie Donalson, Martha Ashley (Larry) and Joann Perry; his nieces and nephews, Brian, Jamye, Lisa, Jon, Dan, Amanda, Stacy, Misty, Dean and Samantha; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Wyatt, Bratcher, Alice, Edison, Aubrey, Kell, Sadie Marie, Tyler, Tucker, Peyton, Carlie and Clay; and his pets, Casper and Boo.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home Chapel (105 N Florida St, Bainbridge, GA 39817). A reception will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
