He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Sheffield (Robert) and Anne Burnett (Robert); his stepchildren, Bonnie Anhalt (Larry) and Ted Fields; and his siblings, Mike Gruis, Florence Balfoot and Adolph Gruis. He is also survived by his sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
