He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Edward Barber, Sr. and Dorothy Jean Wimberly Barber; his brother Edward Barber, Jr.; and his grandson Christian Rowe. He is survived by: his daughters, Charlotte Rowe (Michael) of Muncie, Gabriella Lugo (John) of Bainbridge, Julia Barber (Jennifer) of Ocilla, Georgia and Patricia Barber of Bainbridge; his grandchildren, Aaron Rowe (Elizabeth), Vincent Rowe (Alicia), Miranda Hawkins (Richard), Stevenson Crowell (Erin), Robert Umbach, Jr. (Mikayla) and Ashton Rogers; and his siblings, David Barber (Karen) and Sheila Haines (Chris). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, three nephews and one niece.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Tallahassee National Cemetery (5015 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32311).
