He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Heath and Ruth Byrd Heath; his wife Deborah Ann Heath (Debbie); his son Richard Russell Heath, Jr.; and his brother Tommy Heath.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Sanders of Salt Lake City, Jeremy Hower of Waukegan, Michael Hower of Montgomery and Heath Davis of Colquitt, Georgia; his grandchildren, Sean Hairy, Brandon Hower, Troy Hower, Heven Davis, Angel Davis and Josh Davis; and his siblings, Donald Heath (Vicki), Deborah Gleaton (Phillip) and Susan Josey (Craig). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Cadwell Chapel of Cox-Ivey Funeral Home.
