She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie James Benton and Hattie Inez Smith Benton; her husband Ken Shirley; her daughter Sylvia Ann Ard; her siblings, James R. Benton, Lucille Kirkland and Hazel Louise Jones; and her grandson Christopher Hunsuckle.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Rose Faircloth of Monroe, Washington; her stepchildren, Kenny Shirley of Murrieta and Tammy Shirley of Pensacola; her sisters, Betty Ruth Whittaker and Patsy Benton of Donalsonville; and her grandchildren, Little Sarah, Leanna, Ryan and Candice.
