She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Harrison Echols and Eunice Kimsey Echols; her husband Grover Garrison Murphy; and her siblings, Thomas Echols, Howard Echols, Wendell Echols and Mary Echols.
She is survived by: her sons, Wayne (Gail Murphy) and Jimmy (Diane Murphy); her grandchildren, Melissa Murphy, Stacy, Brian Kidd, Amanda, Dustin Gable, Patrick Bonner, Matthew and Ashley Cash; her great grandchildren, Ellie, Elaina, Maelee, Garrison, Jack, Dakota, Brady and Carter; and her sister Martha Kinsey. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at the Crossroads Baptist Church (555 Yonah Post Rd, Alto, GA 30510).
