He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fields and Lizzie Mae Whitt of Cumming, Georgia.; his stepson Michael Charles of Cumming; his brother Alton Anderson; and his siblings-in-law, Garry McDonnell, Ivan Shirley, Edgar Shirley, Edwin Shirley, Gerald McGinnis, Bill Armstrong, Betty Armstrong, Katie Wright, Mary Pettyjohn, Martha Batchelor, Lois Shirley and Mildred Shirley.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Martin (Skip) of Flowery Branch, Jeff (Shelly) of Dawsonville, Donna Davis (Richard) of Flowery Branch and Kim Gunderson (Curtis); his sisters, Gloria Trent (Dale) and Sheila McDonnell; and his sisters-in-law, Janie McGinnis and Sylvia Shirley. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a charity of choice in Mr. Whitt's name.
