She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Butler and Lois Ledbetter Butler; her former husband Grady P. Smith; her husband Johnny Sewell; and her siblings, Rachel Keith, Mary Smith, Matthew Butler, Luke Butler, John Butler and Paul Butler.
She is survived by: her daughter Loretta; her son-in-law Sammy Lee Dingle of Baldwin; her children, Marilyn Chitwood of Lavonia, John Wayne Smith of Baldwin and Walter Grady Smith; her daughter-in-law Lisa of Hartwell; her sister Magalene Brown of Alabama; and her grandchildren, Sammie Lee Dingle, Jr. of Baldwin and Crystal Loretta Dingle of Baldwin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Harmony Baptist Church (5223 Hwy 441 Bypass, Baldwin, GA 30511). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery (5223 Hwy 441 Bypass, Baldwin, GA 30511).
