He was predeceased by : his father W. J. Garris; his siblings, Elaine Wall and Billy Garris; and his children-in-law, Lamar Clark and Laura Lee Weaver.
He is survived by : his wife Margaret Warren Garris; his daughters, Leslie Garris Clark, Laura Garris, Melissa (Robert Woodall), Cornelia and Kathy (Ron Carey); his brothers, James (Ruby Garris) and Cleveland; his grandchildren, Mysti (Thad Sonesen), Joshua Woodall, Joey (Alissa Carey), Elizabeth Carey and Dakota Woodall; and his great grandchildren, Marlee Woodall, Warren Carey and Zachary Carey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
