Though Wanda may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Wanda touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Darnell Meeks and Lola Spivey Meeks; her husband Dan Calloway Chitwood; and her children, Pete Chitwood, Janice Chitwood Roberts and Donna Sue Chitwood.
She is survived by: her son Danny; and her daughter-in-law Louvene Chitwood. She is also survived by three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the McGahee-Griffin & McEntire Funeral Home (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Level Grove Cemetery.
