We are sad to announce that on May 6, 2025, at the age of 75, Cara Smith of Barnesville, Georgia, born in Birmingham, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Cara may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Lynnwood Klinner, Jr. and Betty Jean Jackson Klinner; and her siblings, Priscilla Irwin and Lynnwood Klinner. She is survived by: her husband Wendell Smith; her children, Matthew Ellis, Brent Smith and Melissa Smith; her daughter-in-law Mandy Smith; her grandchildren, Hailey Warren, Cullen Smith and Cecilia Smith; her sister Pamela Klinner; and her niece Lora Bubalo.
