He is survived by: his siblings, James, Shelton, Hiram, Murrah, Anna Jewel Wainwright and Annie Ruth Darsey; his wife Leamon Burnette Wainwright; his daughter Elizabeth Horton (Lee); and his sister-in-law Sandra Wainwright. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
