He is survived by: his wife Samantha Kerlin Hightower; his sons, Austin Harmon, William "Jacob" Hightower, Ethan Lane Hightower and Michael "Gavin" Hightower; his grandchildren, Jaxon, Julian and Alora; his siblings, Jason Hightower and Jennifer Hightower; and his father William James Hightower. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
