With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Ann Johnson Childs (Barnesville, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2025 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nettie Weaver Johnson and Emmett Johnson; her son Kelvin O'Neal Childs; and her siblings, Mary Elise Brown and James Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Lamar Childs (Sharon) of Griffin, GA, Paula Childs of Thomaston, GA, Kent Childs (Natalie) of Thomaston, GA and Lukienna Walker (Terrence) of Thomaston, GA; her grandchildren, Chris Childs, Zaria Childs, Brittany Woodard, Christian McCraney (Jammar), Kiara Childs, Janay Childs and Caiden Crawford; and her great grandchildren, Cayden Childs, Jamarian McCraney, Ke'mareon Baker, Ja'Kayden Smith, Ja'Khy Gray and A'Rhyon Childs. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives and friends.
