She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Simmons and Neltie Giddens Simmons; her husband Jerry David Thomas; and her siblings, Ollie Mae Jackson, Eugene Simmons and Luther Simmons.

She is survived by: her children, Latrelle McCall (David) of Warner Robins, Vickie Dyal (Michael) of Baxley, Amy Craven (Rick) of Cumming and Jerry Thomas (Cindy) of Baxley; her son-in-law Bob McDonald (Lou); her grandchildren, Kristin Lassiter (Shane), Morgan Gay (Bryan), Kaitlin Lee (Hunter), Matthew Thomas, Will Thomas (Ashley), Reagan Craven and Kennedy Craven; her great grandchildren, Kyndall, Lawson Lassiter, Braydon, Bryson Gay, Remi Lee and Eden Jane Thomas; her sister Veronis Andrews of Albany; her siblings-in-law, Randall Thomas (Linda), Rudolph Thomas (Jeannine), Nell Carter, Eldora Thomas and Shirley Clance; and her friend Angie Taylor. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
