It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Anna Lee Lightsey (Baxley, Georgia), born in Appling, Georgia, who passed away on January 22, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Dave Burke and Lessie Eason Burke; her husband Joseph Shannon Lightsey; her son-in-law Mike Murphy; and her siblings, Lurenda Fowler, Watson Burke, Juanell Waters, Thelma Oquinn, Velma Boatright, Wendell Burke and Dennis Burke.

She is survived by : her daughter Glenda Murphy of Daphne, AL; her grandchildren, Shannon Murphy (Sarah) of Daphne, AL, Laura Murphy Howard (John) of Huntsville, AL and Chase Murphy (Jackie) of Birmingham, AL.; and her great grandchildren, Brock, Will, Drew, Hayes, Kate Murphy, John Randall, Anna Howard and Penelope Murphy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Baxley First United Methodist Church 217 South Main Street, Baxley, GA 31513.
