With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward Rowell of Baxley, Georgia, who passed away on December 9, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. Rowell and Gladys Hartley Rowell; his wife Lanell Watts Rowell; his son James Edward Rowell; and his siblings, Verna Mae Rowell and Russell Lee Rowell, Sr..
He is survived by: his son Ronald Rowell (Anita) of Baxley; his siblings, Betty Griffin of Baxley, Barbara Watts of Hazlehurst and Carroll Rowell of Callahan, FL; his grandsons, Walker Rowell (Kandra), Willy Wright (Erica), Zach Wright (Heather) and Wyatt Wright; and his great grandchildren, Maelynn Rowell, Millie Rowell, Brantlee Wright, Emersyn Wright, Liam Wright, Oliver Wright, Ellie Wright, Tatum Williams and Tess Williams.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Swain Funeral Home (1632 Hatch Pkwy N, Baxley, GA 31513). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home (1632 Hatch Pkwy N, Baxley, GA 31513).
