He was predeceased by: his parent Ruby Carter Beasley; his brothers, Billy Beasley and Raymond Beasley; and his uncle Casper Carter. He is survived by: his wife Donna M. Carter; his children, Sharon Carter-Potter (John) and Byron Carter (Shonda); his stepchildren, Wesley Horne (Sheryl) and Rhonda Hollis (Guy); his grandchildren, Karlee Carter, Miles Carter, Lauren Sangster (Jeff) and Sydney Haskin; his stepgrandchildren, Kevin Horne (Emily), Ryan Horne (Brittany), Lena Davis (Joe) and Kelli Fant (Josh); his sister Christine Todd (Terry); his sister-in-law Linda Beasley; Ben and Wendy Smith. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Swain Funeral Home (1632 Hatch Pkwy N, Baxley, GA 31513). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Melton's Chapel Church Building Fund (c/o Belinda Sellers 4178 Altamaha School Road Baxley, Georgia 31513).
