He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Edward Yawn and Mildred Peacock Yawn; his sister Linda Yawn; and his brother-in-law Zachery Lee. He is survived by: his wife Cathrin B. Yawn of Baxley; his children, Carrie Lee Yawn (Joe Toler) of Baxley and Gary E. Yawn, Jr. (Charity) of Baxley; his brother Greg Yawn (Gail) of Hazlehurst; his grandchildren, Matthew Hutcheson (Rosie), Dylan Yawn, Chayle Hayes (Austin), Stormi Yawn, Merek Davis, Gabe Hunt and Zada Hunt; and his great grandchild Ava Hutcheson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Swain Funeral Home (1632 Hatch Pkwy N, Baxley, GA 31513). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home (1632 Hatch Pkwy N, Baxley, GA 31513). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Asbury Church Cemetery.
