He was predeceased by: his parents, James Boyce Davis and Bonnie Smith Davis; his brother Wendell; his sister-in-law Joyce Davis; and his son-in-law Kenny Murray.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McCall Davis of Baxley; his daughters, Carole Smith (Hilton) of Nicholls and Marianne Murray of Baxley; his brother Robert "Bobby" Davis (Helen) of Preston; his grandchildren, Jeremy Smith, Katie Linton and Derek Murray; and his close friends, Kerry, Cecelia Reese and Dovie Doyle. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
