She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Ahl and Elese Rentz Ahl; her sister Veta Nell; her brother-in-law Dalton Fowler; her brother Rayford Ahl; her sons-in-law, Lewis Kennedy and Virgil Carter; and her parents-in-law, Lurenda and Elmer Fowler.
She is survived by: her husband E. D. Pete Fowler; her daughters, Sheila Kennedy Carter and Rena Lastinger (Shane); her sisters, Dereta Kent (Bernie) and Sandra Spivey (Mike); her sister-in-law Linda Ahl; and her grandchildren, Kristan Edenfield (Joe), Logan Lastinger (Laura) and Karlee Lastinger. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Zion Church of God (118 Rhett Ln, Baxley, GA 31513). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Building Fund of Zion Church of God or Gideons International.
