He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Claxton and Belle Martin Claxton; his wife Ludine Claxton; and his children, Ladon, Sydney and Robbie.
He is survived by: his daughter Paula Anderson (Charlie) of Hazlehurst; and his siblings, Mildred Jackson of Baxley and Max Claxton (Helen) of Hazlehurst. He is also survived by Four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
