He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Murray and Wilma Sweat Murray; his wife Thurza Plowden Murray; his daughter Shannon Hollinger; his great grandchild Renlee Grace Davis; and his brothers, Freddy Murray, Billy Murray and Larry Murray.
He is survived by: his daughters, Misty Murray (Alex Galvan) of Hoboken, Christy Murray (Johnny) of Glennville and Chryssy Payne (Rita) of Wilsonville; his son-in-law Bill Hollinger of West Green; and his siblings, Annette Ursery of Waycross, Jacqueline Snellgrove of Waycross, Annice Courson of Macclenny, FL and Dale Murray of Millwood. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Music Funeral Home (1503 Tebeau St, Waycross, GA 31501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Indian Mound Baptist Church Cemetery.
