He is survived by: his wife Azilee Crews Thompson of Baxley, Georgia; his siblings, Brenda Derryberry (Clay) of Lewisburg, TN, Steve Thompson (Sandra) of Lewisburg and Paul Thompson (Kay) of Hartselle, Alabama; his stepdaughter Deanna Reynolds (John); his stepgrandchildren, Johnny Lee Reynolds and Joanna Michelle Reynolds of Alma, Georgia.; and his nieces and nephews, Nathan Park (Cindy), Rachel Troute (Foye), Vivian Hicks (Kevin), Chris Thompson and Kristen Courtemanche.
