He is survived by: his wife Shirley Stalvey Nelson of Baxley; his children, Russ Nelson (Brian Hall) of Gainesville, Rev. Alan Stalvey (Joella) of Baxley and Amy Tyre (Lewis) of Blackshear; and his sisters, Carole Claxton (Wade) of Jesup and Connie Nelson of Hazlehurst. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
