She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Sommerset and Mattie Sommerset; and her brothers, Carl Sommerset, Curtis Sommerset, Thomas Sommerset and John Sommerset.
She is survived by: her children, Vernon (Deborah) of Fairburn, Georgia, Walter (Marcia) of Atlanta, Georgia, Wallace (Letitia) of Palm Beach, Florida and Kimberly (Vincent) of Statesboro, Georgia.; her grandchildren, Demario, Latasha (Jawon), Jaikeria (Dominique), Kennedy, Kolby, Keiondra, Madison, Makalya, Kamera and Amayah; and her great grandchildren, Latavia and Ashton.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the C. M. Brown Funeral Home (26 Northside St, Baxley, GA 31513). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:15 PM at 417 Comas St, Baxley, GA 31513. A burial was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Old Salem Cemetery.
