She was predeceased by: her parents, James Dewey and Madese Bennett Davis; her husband Charles Wendell Day; her siblings, Carolyn Waters (late Kenneth), Janice Redding and Roger; and her siblings-in-law, Terri Davis, Virgil Taylor, Robert Day, Fred Carter and Cecil Day.
She is survived by: her daughter Lori Elaine Day of Blackshear; her sisters, Mildred Taylor of Alma, Lucy Day of Blackshear and Judy Carter of Blackshear; and her siblings-in-law, Deloris Turner (David) of Little River, SC, Patsy Aldridge of Blackshear, Durwood Redding of Blackshear, Dewey Smith (Susan) of Blackshear and Tommy Day (Joy) of Blackshear. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Pearson-Dial Chapel (659 Main St, Blackshear, GA 31516). A reception will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
