We are sad to announce that on August 12, 2025, at the age of 79, Henry Sylvester of Blackshear, Georgia, born in Nahunta, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Durward E. Sylvester and Susan Chancey Sylvester; and his siblings, Betty Jean Martin, Virginia Williamson, Belle Sylvester, Joe and Bob Sylvester.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Boston Sylvester of Blackshear; his daughters, Cindy Sylvester of Yulee, Lucretia Sylvester of Yulee and Amber Hutchinson (Kevin) of Palatka; his stepdaughters, Maria Tittle of Amelia Island, Connie Whitley of Charlotte, NC and Hope Colson of Orlando; his son Henry L. Sylvester, II of Las Vegas; and his sister Naomi Durbin of Waycross. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Shiloh Cemetery (21631 GA-116, Shiloh, GA 31826). A reception will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 5:00 PM.
