He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Melvin and Maggie Irene Sweat; and his close friend Winnie Rowland. He is survived by: his close friend DeWanda Dixon of Blackshear; his son Orville Albert Sweat of Blackshear; and his stepchildren, Wayne Rowland of Blackshear and Sue Rowland of Blackshear.
