He was predeceased by: his parents, James Franklin "Frank" and Scecila Boyett Murray; his wife Patricia A. Jones Murray; his brother Ricky Murray; and his brother-in-law Terry M. Walker.
He is survived by: his children, James B. "Jamie" Murray (Amy), Shelby Murray (Alyssa), Ethan Murray, Amanda Murray (Dakota), Misty Davlin and Christy Kelly (Gina); his siblings, Andrea Murray Walker, Randy White and Jackson White; his niece Casey Hunt; his nephews, Jesse Walker and Coy White; and his grandchildren, Andrew, Ashlyn, Wyatt, Deacon, Emerson, Gauge, Dakota, Jade, Curtis, Zoey, Briana, Ethan, McKinley, Haley and Paxton. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and many other close extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hart Funeral Home (210 Johnson St, Blackshear, GA 31516). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel (210 Johnson St, Blackshear, GA 31516).
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made for the care of his son, Ethan (In care of Jamie Murray), 3633 Big House Road, Waycross, GA 31503.
